The Founding Charter
Seven articles the Foundation is bound by. They are published in full so that anyone may hold us to them.
I. Human Dignity
Every Haitian person possesses inherent dignity and cannot be reduced to property, labor, political utility, immigration status, or statistical category.
II. Absolute Sovereignty
Haitian sovereignty belongs to the Haitian people. No external power possesses legitimate authority to determine Haiti’s destiny.
III. Distributed Institution-Building
The future of Haiti must not depend on one leader, one city, one party, one office, or one generation. Durable sovereignty requires families, schools, churches, businesses, councils, civic organizations, and diaspora institutions.
IV. Education as National Defense
Education is the first defense of a sovereign people. The Foundation will prioritize historical knowledge, digital literacy, civic education, and leadership formation.
V. Economic Resilience
A people without economic power remains vulnerable. The Foundation will support entrepreneurship, skills development, cooperative capital, and diaspora economic coordination.
VI. Transparent Governance
The Foundation will model accountability, publish impact reports, maintain conflict-of-interest safeguards, and treat all resources as a public trust.
VII. Diaspora Inclusion
The Haitian diaspora is not outside the nation. The diaspora is a living extension of Haitian civilization and must be organized as a permanent contributor to Haitian renewal.
The Founder’s North Star
We are not building noise.
We are building memory.
We are building capacity.
We are building institutions.
We are building generational sovereignty.
The Foundation will be measured not by rhetoric, but by whether it creates durable knowledge systems, lawful civic capacity, transparent governance, and practical opportunity for Haitians in Haiti and across the diaspora.
